Privacy Policy
Last updated: June 23, 2026
PolarLabs ("PolarLabs," "we," "us," or "our") respects your privacy and is committed to protecting the personal information of everyone who visits polarlabs.shop (the "Site") or purchases our research products. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, who we share it with, and the choices and rights available to you.
By using the Site, you agree to the collection and use of information in accordance with this policy. If you do not agree, please discontinue use of the Site.
1. Information We Collect
We collect information you provide directly to us, information collected automatically when you use the Site, and information from third parties who help us operate our business.
- Account & order information: name, email address, shipping and billing address, phone number, and order history when you create an account or place an order.
- Payment information: our payment processor collects card or payment details directly — PolarLabs does not store full payment card numbers on our servers.
- Communications: messages you send us through the Contact page, the Verification Center, or by email, including any batch or lot numbers you reference.
- Usage data: IP address, browser type, device information, pages viewed, and referring URLs, collected automatically through cookies and similar technologies.
- Age verification status: a confirmation that you have attested you are 21 years of age or older, stored as described in Section 4 below.
2. How We Use Your Information
We use the information we collect to:
- Process, fulfill, and ship orders, and communicate with you about your orders;
- Verify age eligibility and enforce our research-use-only sales policy;
- Respond to support requests, including Certificate of Analysis (COA) requests submitted through the Verification Center;
- Maintain the security and integrity of the Site and prevent fraud;
- Improve our products, website, and customer experience; and
- Comply with legal obligations, including tax, customs, and recordkeeping requirements.
We do not use your personal information to make any medical or health-related claims, and we do not sell our products for human consumption.
3. Legal Basis & Marketing
We process personal information to perform our contract with you (fulfilling orders), to comply with legal obligations, and based on our legitimate interest in operating and securing the Site. Where required by law, we will obtain your consent before sending marketing communications, and you may opt out of marketing emails at any time using the unsubscribe link included in those messages.
4. Cookies & Tracking Technologies
We use cookies and similar technologies to operate the Site and improve your experience:
- Age verification cookie: when you confirm you are 21 or older at the entrance gate, we set a cookie that remembers this confirmation for 30 days so you are not re-prompted on every visit. No personal information is stored in this cookie beyond the verification timestamp.
- Essential cookies: used for core functionality such as shopping cart contents, login sessions, and checkout.
- Analytics cookies: help us understand aggregate site usage so we can improve performance and content.
Most browsers let you control or disable cookies through their settings. Disabling essential cookies may prevent parts of the Site, such as checkout, from functioning correctly.
5. How We Share Information
We do not sell your personal information. We share information only with service providers who help us run our business, and only to the extent necessary for them to perform their function:
- Payment processors receive the information necessary to securely process your payment. They do not receive your full order history or use your data for their own marketing.
- Shipping carriers receive only your name and shipping address to deliver your order — they do not receive payment information or your email address.
- Independent lab testing partners who perform batch testing never receive any customer-identifying information at all. Lab testing is performed on production batches, not on customer orders, so testing partners have no access to customer names, addresses, or order data.
- Service providers such as hosting, email delivery, and analytics platforms, bound by confidentiality and data protection obligations.
In short: the vendors who help us ship a package or process a payment see only what is strictly necessary to complete that task — never your full profile, and never anything shared with our lab testing partners.
We may also disclose information if required by law, subpoena, or other legal process, or to protect the rights, property, or safety of PolarLabs, our customers, or others.
6. Data Retention
We retain order and account information for as long as needed to fulfill the purposes described in this policy, including to satisfy tax, accounting, and legal recordkeeping requirements. When information is no longer needed, we securely delete or anonymize it.
7. Your Rights & Choices
Depending on your location, you may have the right to:
- Request access to the personal information we hold about you;
- Request correction of inaccurate information;
- Request deletion of your personal information, subject to legal recordkeeping requirements;
- Object to or restrict certain processing; and
- Withdraw consent for marketing communications at any time.
To exercise any of these rights, contact us at support@polarlabs.shop. We will respond within a reasonable timeframe.
8. Age Restriction & Children's Privacy
PolarLabs products are intended exclusively for use by qualified researchers and institutions. The Site is restricted to visitors who are at least 21 years of age, confirmed through the age-verification gate described in Section 4. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 21. If we learn that we have collected information from someone under the required age, we will delete it promptly.
9. Data Security
We use commercially reasonable administrative, technical, and physical safeguards designed to protect your information from unauthorized access, alteration, or disclosure. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
10. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time to reflect changes in our practices or for legal, regulatory, or operational reasons. We will post the updated policy on this page with a revised "Last updated" date. Continued use of the Site after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the revised policy.
